What is a Guardian Home?

While we would love to have all of our dogs here with us, we know that they will be happiest with the one on one attention of having their very own family.

Our Guardian Homes are a super important part of our family. Our Guardian Home families are the way that we ensure that all of our dogs live the best possible lives in loving, caring homes where they receive as much one on one attention as they can handle! We recognize that our dogs in Guardian Homes are members of their Guardian Home family and respect them as such. It is never our desire to make our Guardian Home families feel like they have to “jump through hoops” but, instead, we want to form healthy and respectful relationships with our families. Everyone’s goal is to make sure that each of our dogs are well cared for and live their best lives!

As a guardian home, you are the permanent home for one of our dogs while they are in our program (with no upfront costs to you) and once they are retired (and spayed/neutered), full ownership transfers to the guardian family and your dog stays with you forever!

  • If you are a guardian home for one of our females, understand that she will come to us for about a week to be breed. Then she will come back to us about one week prior to her due date. She will remain with us until the puppies are weaned. These dates will be expected and planned ahead of time so that our families have time to prepare.

  • If you are a guardian of one of our male dogs, please understand that he will come to us for 3 to 5 days during breeding. These visits will be scheduled ahead of time allowing for our families to prepare.
